Andy Robertson has broken his silence following the shoulder injury he picked up on Scotland duty vs Spain.Challenging for the ball towards the end of the first half in the controversial loss against Luis de la Fuente's men, goalkeeper Unai Simon rushed out and beat Robertson to the ball.

It came at a cost for the Liverpool full-back, who crashed awkwardly into the Seville surface and damaged his shoulder in the process, signalling to go off and leave Aaron Hickey to go down the left-hand side after a stellar first half for the Tartan Army.It left Robertson unavailable for Tuesday's 4-1 defeat to France, and it will have long-term effects for Liverpool in their bid to win the Premier League title after four years of waiting with Jurgen Klopp saying that the former Dundee United star will be out for a "significant period of time".

And now Robertson has taken to social media to address fans' concerns over how long it will take him to recover.Posting on his Instagram, the Glaswegian said: "Obviously not the news I was hoping for but my focus is now on a full and speedy recovery!

Thank you for all the messages. All the best to the boys for tomorrow #YNWA."It leaves the full-back a huge doubt for Scotland's final two qualifying games against Georgia and Norway next month, but with qualification already sewn up and the Tartan Army on their way to Germany in the summer, it won't matter a great deal.Follow Record Sport on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for all of the up-to-the minute breaking news, video and audio on the SPFL, the Scotland national team and beyond. You can also follow our dedicated Rangers and Celtic podcast pages and sign up to our newsletters to make sure you never miss a beat throughout the season.
