Newsman Anderson Cooper is a new dad. The CNN host announced the birth of his son, Wyatt Morgan Cooper, via surrogate on Thursday night (30Apr20), posting a photo of himself with the newborn on Instagram. “As a gay kid, I never thought it would be possible to have a child, and I’m grateful for all those who have paved the way, and for the doctors and nurses and everyone involved in my son’s birth,” he wrote. “He is sweet, and soft, and healthy and I am beyond happy.” The 52 year old also gushed about the news at the end of his Thursday night CNN show, telling viewers, “It has been a difficult time in all of our lives, and there are certainly many hard days ahead.
