While addressing the camera at the end of a CNN Town Hall, Cooper made the official announcement that he had become a father earlier this week. "On Monday, I became a father.
I've never actually said that before out loud, and it still kind of astonishes me. I am a dad," he said. "I have a son and I want you to meet him." He then showed a photograph of his son, Wyatt Cooper, who is named after the journalist's late father.
