One of Scotland's oldest clans has travelled to Hollywood for the world premiere of a new documentary.Meet the Buchanans chronicles the first crowning and inauguration ceremony of a Clan Buchanan chief in over 300 years.
The feature-length documentary, which was backed by Screen Scotland, debuted at Los Angeles' Lumiere Cinema as part of the Tartan Film Festival.
In honour of the occasion, Clan Buchanan chief John Michael Baillie-Hamilton Buchanan made the transatlantic journey from the clan’s Cambusmore Estate in Perthshire.
Travelling with him was his wife, Lady Paula Buchanan, and three of the couple's children.Boasting an international community of more than five million people, Clan Buchanan is considered to be among the largest in the world.
