Hollywood film star Amy Schumer said online comments about her "puffy face" led to her being diagnosed with Cushing's syndrome, a hormonal disorder which produces an excess of cortisol.

With much of TikTok currently obsessed with "cortisol face" and Schumer long being the target of unsolicited comments about her body, the Trainwreck star revealed that for once the trolls led her to a good place.

Having previously opened up about the "puffiness" of her face on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Schumer most recently spoke to Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast about her disorder.

She said she was diagnosed with the syndrome that causes an excess of cortisol, often leads to weight gain and increased body fat. “This can result from the body making too much cortisol, or from taking medicines called glucocorticoids, which affect the body the same way as cortisol,” according to Mayo Clinic.
