Each year on 21 March all around the globe, World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated. Here in Ireland, it’s no different and Down Syndrome Ireland have a fun campaign we can all get involved with.
This year they have asked people to show their support by wearing really bright and colourful socks. This has seen plenty of Irish people don their best and most funky socks in order to raise awareness and donations for the Down Syndrome community in Ireland.
The aim of the Lots of Socks campaign is to represent the extra chromosome that people with Down syndrome have. The unique campaign is internationally recognised to help raise awareness about Down syndrome.
