Amy Dowden has expressed her determination to make a comeback to Strictly Come Dancing after her breast cancer diagnosis forced her to sit out the latest series.
The 33-year-old professional dancer, who disclosed in February that her recent health check showed "no evidence of disease", is still not in the clear and will be under observation for five years.She shared that she must continue hospital visits for check-ups and receive a monthly injection to manage her "hormone fed" cancer.
Speaking on BBC Breakfast, Amy revealed her aspirations to return to the show, saying: "If Strictly will have me back, I'll be back.""The goal and the dream is to be back on the dancefloor, as well.
Cause I've missed it so, so much," she added. Amy also mentioned her efforts towards recovery, including rehab and physiotherapy, and her hope to reappear on viewers' screens dancing later this year, reports OK!.
