Selena Kuznikov The trailer for FX’s “American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez” has been unveiled. The 10-episode limited series premieres on FX with two episodes on Sept.

17 and follows the development and family background of the NFL football player Aaron Hernandez — and his violent crimes, murder conviction and death by suicide.

Josh Andrés Rivera (“The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes,” “West Side Story”) stars as Hernandez, who was drafted to the New England Patriots as a tight end in 2010 and played three seasons with the team.

Before signing to the Patriots, he played football at the University of Florida. Patrick Schwarzenegger portrays Tim Tebow, Hernandez’s Florida Gators teammate and a rising NFL quarterback.
