'American Idol' Renewed for Fourth Season at ABC!

The long-running singing competition series was picked up for a fourth season at ABC – it’s 19th season overall – as of Friday (May 15), according to Variety. PHOTOS: Check out the latest pics of Katy Perry The renewal comes just a few days ahead of the Season 3 finale, which airs on Sunday (May 17), which will include performances from judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, as well as Top 11 contestants and several Idol alums.
Due to the pandemic, the show was forced to film episodes remotely for the first time in its run. There is no word yet on whether the current judges, as well as longtime host Ryan Seacrest, are returning for the fourth season at ABC.
