Carrie Underwood is the newest judge joining Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie – who have been hosting the new iteration of the show since it was rebooted at ABC in 2018. Carrie is replacing Katy Perry, who exited this year. Ryan Seacrest is also returning as host. Head inside to see the first look photo… Along with releasing a first look photo at the new panel, seen above, Ryan and the judges also did a press appearance together on Wednesday (October 2) at a photo call in New York City.
You can see all of those photos in the gallery. The new season of American Idol will debut in 2025. If you didn’t see, Katy isn’t the only American Idol star to exit the lineup this year.
