A group of good Samaritans were left 'disgusted' when they were told by an ambulance operator they would not come to the aid of an injured 62-year-old woman – despite three separate pleas.
The women suffered suspected head, rib and leg injuries after taking a tumble on Sandgate, Ayr, on Thursday, December 9 around 9.40pm.
But a group who were in the street at the time, and rushed to the stricken woman’s aid, said requests for a mercy crew were flatly rejected despite repeated attempts.One of the group, Roy Claxton, said: “I was walking with my friend on the Sandgate late on Thursday night and a woman passed us going in the opposite direction.“A few seconds later she let out a scream.
