Amber Heard has confirmed she will appeal the verdict in her libel trial against Johnny Depp after being ordered to pay him $15million in damages.
The jury ruled against the Aquaman actress and a spokesperson confirmed she would appeal the decision just hours after losing her case.
Alafair Hall, Amber's representative, said she was 'heartbroken' at the outcome and he told the New York Times that Amber planned to appeal.The case was brought to court by Johnny, 58, as he accused Amber, 36, of defaming him in a op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post in 2018.It was titled: "I spoke up against sexual violence — and faced our culture’s wrath.
That has to change."As reporter in the Mirror, the article does not mention Johnny by name, yet his lawyers said it falsely implied he physically and sexually abused Ms Heard while they were together.
