Amber Heard Perjury Charges Dropped in Case of Importing Dogs Into Australia

Australian authorities announced on Tuesday (August 22) that the 37-year-old Aquaman actress will not be charged with perjury relating to allegations that she lied about how her two Yorkshire terriers entered Australia in 2015. At the time, Amber was visiting then-husband Johnny Depp while he was filming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
After the dogs were discovered by authorities, Amber and Johnny issued a “government-imposed 50-hour deadline” to return the dogs to the United States or have them euthanized, according to the Associate Press.
In 2016, Amber pled guilty to providing a false immigration document and was sentenced to a one-month good behavior bond.
