Amber Heard Leaves The Courthouse After Verdict For Defamation Case Against Johnny Depp Was Revealed

Amber Heard keeps her head down while leaving the Fairfax County Courthouse on Wednesday afternoon (June 1) in Fairfax, Va.

The 36-year-old actress walked from the courthouse to a waiting car just shortly after it was revealed that her ex, Johnny Depp, will be award $15 million in his defamation case against her.

The case centered around a 2018 op-ed that was run in the Washington Post that said she became a “public figure representing domestic abuse.” While Amber never mentioned Johnny by name in the piece, his lawyers argued that it was about him. Johnny sued her for $50 million in damages after she published, to which she countersued him for $100 million for comments his former lawyer made to the Daily Mail in 2020 where he said it was all a hoax.
