to turn her online success into a beauty business, Amber Fillerup Clark is largely responsible for helping make what it is today.
It all began in 2010, when Clark launched her beloved lifestyle . At the time, she was a self-described “broke student donating plasma for money," with a passion for hairstyling. “I went to hair school when I was 19, and that's when I really realized that that hair is my passion,” she tells Glamour. “Because up until that point, I hated school, hated anything I was doing.
But as soon as I was in hair school, I was like: 'This is it. I'm so happy here.'"Through her blog and Instagram, Clark gained such a devout following that she was able to professionally pivot.
By 2020, she put her hair school education to use and bootstrapped the launch of , at-home “hair extensions for the everyday girl," and clean hair care line , which is now sold at Sephora and last year.Clark's influencing days aren't necessarily behind her, though.
