While a second season is already in the works, Amazon has reportedly decided to delay the release. THR reports that season two of Citadel was originally planned for a Fall 2025 release, but now it might not debut until Spring 2026 even though shooting wrapped in November 2024.

Amazon had planned an entire franchise of Citadel spinoffs for various international locations, with Italy’s Citadel: Diana and India’s Citadel: Honey Bunny already available to watch.
