Marie Donoghue, the VP of global sports video at Amazon’s Prime Video, is leaving the company. Donoghue informed her staff on Thursday with a farewell email.
Prime Video just concluded its second season as the home of the NFL’s Thursday Night Football package. Donoghue reported to Jay Marine, who heads the company’s sports division.
Amazon confirmed Donoghue’s exit to the media, but provided no further comment. Donoghue joined Amazon in 2018 as VP of global sports video for Prime Video and spearheaded the tech outlet’s push into live coverage.
In 2022, Prime Video began an exclusive 11-year deal for Thursday Night Football, which has proven to be a potent addition to the lineup.
