Amanda Redman has bravely opened up about her burns story. The 62-year-old, has shared how suffering horrific burns as a child inspired an acid attack story in a TV drama.
In Good Karma Hospital, the assault on a nurse leaves Amanda’s character, Dr Lydia, reeling. As a child, Amanda, 62, was severely injured in an accident with a pot of hot soup and spent time in a burns unit.
Opening up about her time spent in hospital as a child, Amanda revealed that those memories have never left her. The star honoured her parents as she insisted that they were always positive, even on the worst days after her accident.
