US publication TMZ reports that Amanda was seen walking in Downtown Los Angeles in the early hours of Sunday morning as she waved down a passing car and told the driver that she was coming down from a psychotic episode, before Amanda herself then called 911.
After she was taken to a local police station, TMZ's law enforcement sources claim a mental health team determined she needed to be placed on a 5150 psych hold.
According to The Treatment Specialist, a 5150 (pronounced fifty-one-fifty) is a legal action from the CA Welfare and Institutions Code.
