But it is dealing with a story that is at least partly true - and it is set to polarise. The programme’s makers Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering are telling the story of the accusation of sexual abuse against Woody Allen involving Dylan, his adopted daughter with Farrow, then seven years old, and the subsequent custody battle.
Farrow and Allen divorced after she found naked pictures of her adopted daughter (now Allen’s wife) Soon-Yi in Allen’s study.
This is the first time in decades that Farrow has spoken about her former partner and she is an engaging figure. We hear all about how they met.
