The government has confirmed that the autumn cost of living payment will be issued between October and November. It means millions of households will receive a £300 payment from either the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) or HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).

The £300 payment will be made to eligible households receiving the following benefits: If you’re getting Tax Credits from HMRC and a low-income benefit from DWP, you will be paid by DWP only.
