Alison Hammond was left apologising on behalf of a guest during the last episode of This Morning of the week due to the use of "colourful language".
The presenter was back fronting the ITV show on Friday (April 5) alongside co-host Dermot O'Leary. Due to the Easter holiday and subsequent half-term break, Dermot, 50, and Alison, 49, are stepping in for new permanent hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley as they take time off despite them only starting on the show early last month.
During the latest show, the pair were joined live in the studio by American actor Billy Crudup. The New York-born actor, who plays Cory Ellison on TV series The Morning Show, was discussing the creative choices he has taken in his career before he used the word "p***ed". And I said, ‘I did The Elephant Man on Broadway’, and he was like, ‘Well, weren’t your agents pissed?’. And I said, ‘Yes, they were really p***ed'." After this Alison excused his language and said: "Billy we don’t say that word in England… so apologies for Billy’s colourful language, I know you can say it in America.” Billy asked what he had said and Alison responded: "The one (word) with the P".
