Alison Hammond has spoken out about her new man being branded her 'toyboy' lover because of their 22-year age gap. The This Morning host found love a year ago with her boyfriend, reported to be Russian masseur David Putnam.
But at 27, David is two-decades his girlfriend's junior. However, Alison says the age difference doesn't affect that and that if people saw them together, they'd quickly understand. "I can see how, on paper, you’d notice the age difference," she said. "But honestly, when we see the word ‘toyboy’ written about us, it bears no relation to what we have at all.
Yes, I’m 22 years older than he is, but if you saw us together, you’d understand. People have said to me, 'We get it now.' He’s so mature and sensible, and I’m so not.
And the things he says to me... they’re just so lovely."
