Alison Hammond has shared a post saying "strong people don't put others down" on social media just days after she was confirmed as a new regular host on This Morning.

The presenter was reported to be a replacement for long-term hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes though ITV have denied this is the case.

Ruth has since spoken out to claim there isn't any bad blood between them, after a dig she made at people who begin their career on reality TV.

Alison, 45, began her time in the spotlight after a stint on Big Brother. A spokesperson for Ruth confirmed she made the comments weeks before the news she was apparently being replaced was even announced, and denied they were about Alison.
