Morelos was linked with the exit door last term before remaining at Ibrox but the lure of a move away may now prove too strong.
Lille are in the market for a new striker with current frontman Victor Osimhen expected to head for Napoli. They had a move for Gent's Jonathan David rebuffed and now appear to have switched their attention to the Colombian.
Morelos has enjoyed another productive season in Scotland and looked set to beat his 30 goal tally that he registered in 2018/19.
