dailyrecord.co.uk“It’s not anybody’s job to get abuse.”Fed up dentist Maritza Smith has called out the patients who have been causing misery for her, her husband and staff at their practice in Alexandria.She says the aggressive behaviour, sometimes happening daily, has escalated to such a level that it has left some of those working in the industry questioning whether they want to continue.Maritza, who became a mum during the pandemic, said: “I have colleagues who are having a real mental health battle and want to leave the industry, partly because of real unrealistic expectations from their patients.“I completely get how that can get on top of them.
