Alexandra Burke 'lands major role in Tina Turner-inspired' movie after West End success

Alexandra Burke has reportedly signed up to star in a “Tina Turner-inspired” new film. The X Factor champion is believed to be tied to a new project by the BBC and BFI, playing a young star similar to Tina who performs her hit songs. “To say Alex is excited is an understatement,” a source told The Sun . “And after the year the acting industry has had, with no touring or theatres open, this couldn’t have been better news for her. “Alex has got the voice and she showed what a great actor she is as a leading West End actress for the past seven years.” It’s believed that the film is aiming for release in 2022.
