Robbie Neilson ’s side had a stinker on Sunday as they were rolled over by resurgent Motherwell. And it was topped off by the late mix up when Cochrane’s number went up and he walked off the pitch applauding the travelling support.
It wasn’t until teammate Lawrence Shankland gave him a shout when he realised there had been a change of plan – and he had to go straight back on.
The incident had home fans chuckling but Cochrane is deadly serious about bouncing back with nearly a fortnight until their chance to make amends.
