The cheapest UK supermarket for the 'big shop' has officially been revealed, with major supermarkets including Lidl, Asda and Tesco missing out on the crown.
A recent price comparison from Which? has found that budget supermarket Aldi is offering shoppers the lowest price for a big shop of everyday household and grocery essentials.
The consumer champion website found that the German grocer was over £25 cheaper than their supermarket rivals based on a basket of 52 items.
It comes as shoppers across the UK have been hit with soaring costs of food on supermarket shelves after shop inflation levels reached a 14-year high.
