Brian Reid says Albion Rovers were due to give a team a thumping after racking up a 4-0 win at Bonnyrigg Rose.The Coatbridge club went on a goals spree at New Dundas Park, with Charlie Reilly opening the scoring and sealing it with a last-gasp penalty, in between strikes from Jamie Leslie and Luke Graham that had Rovers 4-0 up by the interval on Saturday.Rovers leap-frogged their hosts at the bottom of League Two on goal difference, and in a remarkably tight league, sit just three points off fifth-placed Annan.Delighted Reid reckons his side could have scored more than they did, and relishes a trip to his old club Stranraer, who sit two places and three points above them in seventh.Reid said: “We’re delighted.
It was long overdue, I think we were due to give somebody a beating like that, to keep a clean sheet and score goals.“We could have scored more, we played very well, so it was a good weekend for everyone.“We had a good support through backing the team, and we played well, so it was a thoroughly deserved three points.“It was nice to see us taking our chances, and we created a lot more – we had a goal disallowed and had another few chances so it could have been an even bigger result for us.“But I’m not going to complain about a 4-0 result any day of the week.”Reid has been frustrated with his side this season because after playing well, they’ve been wasteful with chances.He said: “We’ve been playing reasonably well in a lot of the games but not taking our chances.“We should’ve beaten Dumbarton, should’ve beaten Forfar, but just didn’t take our chances and were a bit careless in front of goal.“But on Saturday we were very clinical and did take our chances, and were far better with our decision-making, so that was the
