Albion Rovers 'sack manager' as fan with no experience 'relieved of duties'

Albion Rovers have scrapped their plans to let a fan with no experience step into the dug out as manager for their clash against Hearts B side.Football Manager expert Duncan McKay was due to take over the reigns from Sandy Clark for the Lowland League clash at Cliftonhill Stadium in Coatbridge this afternoon, Saturday, November 2.

The experiment was set to be filmed for BBC Scotland’s football fan show ‘A View from the Terrace,’ as Duncan tries his hand at various jobs across Scottish football - turning out as a mascot, ballboy, Tannoy announcer, kit man, and groundskeeper - for the show’s popular ‘Put a Shift In’ segment.
