Albion Rovers boss Sandy Clark admits star striker Niyah Joseph is weighing up a Cliftonhill exit this summer. The 22-year-old has been a standout performer for the Wee Rovers in their first season down in the Lowland League. He has netted 27 goals in all competitions and laid on numerous assists to help put the Coatbridge side on course for a top 10 finish this term. But with the former Rangers youth out of contract in the summer, Clark revealed his future could well be away from Monklands with a move to a higher level or even abroad in Joseph’s sights. He said: “Niyah is a good player and we obviously want to keep him.“But every player has the privilege that, when your contract is nearly up, you can have a look and see what is out there.“I know Niyah is ambitious and I don’t think he would look at another Lowland League team, to be honest.“He wants to play at a higher level and maybe even in another country.“He wants to do well but at this moment in time he is hanging fire on what he wants to do, and see what is out there – and rightly so.“The club totally understands where he is coming from.”Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onX via@LanLiveSport, like us onFacebookor find us onInstagramfor the latest sports news, pictures and video.
