Albion Rovers boss Brian Reid would love nothing more than three points for Christmas as his side aim to maintain their strong record away to Annan on Friday night.The Cliftonhill outfit – who saw their weekend clash at home to Elgin postponed due to a frozen pitch – are aiming to head into the festive celebrations with a cracker of a result under the lights at Galabank to boost their survival hopes in League Two.Rovers are in ninth spot and ahead of bottom side Bonnyrigg on goal difference going into the match, but with a win and a draw over the Galabankies on their most recent trips south, Reid hopes his depleted side can produce the good again to bring some festive cheers to the Rovers faithful.He said: “We have still got a lot of injuries to contend with so will do our best to get a strong enough squad on the park for Friday.“But we have got a decent record down at Annan so hopefully that continues.“We are expecting a tough game from them.

They are a big, strong, physical team and we are going to have to match that and take our chances when they come along.“Hopefully we can get the points and come back up the road with something to help everyone enjoy their Christmas.“Everyone will need to be playing at their best and be difficult to beat for us to do that.

If we do that, we’ll have a chance.
