Alan Cumming has joked about his 'bromance' with First Minister Humza Yousaf while on a visit to Edinburgh. The Scots actor, 58, and the SNP leader, 38, were photographed beaming together in Edinburgh's Waverly Station as Alan started filming for his upcoming Channel 4 series.

Alan will front the series, titled Scotland’s Most Luxurious Railway, as he heads on a trip of a lifetime on the Royal Scotsman train.Each episode will follow the train’s journey around Scotland, showing off the best of the country’s history, landscape, and culture.

Sharing snaps on social media from his meeting with the First Minister, the actor joked about their 'evident bromance'.Writing on Instagram, Alan wrote: "Despite the bromance evident in these pictures, I would like to quash any rumours that the First Minister of Scotland, @humzayousaf, and I got married today!
