Interior Design Masters presenter Alan Carr has opened up about an unexpected emotional moment during the filming of a special Children In Need episode of the series.
He found himself overwhelmed when tasked with overseeing celebrities revamping rooms at a centre for young carers. "I was ugly crying," Alan shared. "At a certain point, I had a lump in my throat and couldn’t even film the links to camera.
Everyone was moved, and I think even the man underneath the Pudsey outfit had a little cry." Celebs like Jon Richardson, Leomie Anderson, power pop couple Shirlie and Martin Kemp, and the comedic duo of Darren Harriott and Joanne McNally were challenged to revitalise spaces at the Sandwell Young Carers Project.
As they laboured to create a comforting sanctuary for the children, Alan couldn't contain his excitement at meeting the legendary Pudsey Bear.
