Al Pacino ’s pinstripe suit from Scarface is set to fetch £60,000 at auction. Pacino is thought to have worn it in the scene where his drug lord character yells “say hello to my little friend” before the final gory gun battle.
It may also have been in an earlier scene where the increasingly crazed Tony Montana nose-dives into a pile of cocaine. The blue three-piece, now free of blood stains, has labels sewn into the jacket pocket and trouser waist carrying Pacino’s name.
The producers of the 1983 movie, set in Miami, chose the style to mimic those worn in gangster films of the 1940s. It belongs to a private collector but will go under the hammer with US-based Julien’s Auctions this month.
