There’s clearly no limit to Akon’s ambition as the rapper has announced his plans to build another African city in Uganda before even completing the first one. The Locked Up hitmaker has been busy working on his first city in Senegal, for which he secured $6billion (£4.3bn) funding.
Apparently, Akon has bigger plans and revealed a new futuristic city will also be coming to Uganda in the years ahead. He’s already received the backing of the Ugandan government, who announced on Monday that Akon has been allotted one square mile of land to build Akon City part two.
According to Uganda’s NBS TV, the city will operate on AKoin currency, a stellar-based cryptocurrency which will also be used in Senegal’s Akon City.
