Airline launches world-first service where women can choose not to sit next to men

Launched in May, the initiative is designed to enhance comfort for women travelling alone or with others.When selecting seats, women will be able to view where other female passengers are seated, as these seats will be highlighted in pink on the seating map provided during check-in.
This unique feature aims to assist women in choosing their preferred seats.Men, on the other hand, won't have access to this information and will only see the available seats without any gender-specific indicators.
IndiGo's innovative policy is part of its commitment to fostering a more comfortable environment for women, especially those flying solo or in groups.The "#GirlPower ethos" of IndiGo is at the heart of this new feature, which is available to women whether they are flying alone or included in a family booking.
