Airdrie defender Euan Deveney says his side would be confident of facing any team in League One at home, as they welcome Alloa Athletic to New Broomfield this afternoon.A summer signing from Kilmarnock, Deveney has been delighted with the start the Diamonds have made to the campaign, and wants that to continue when Brian Rice brings his Wasps to North Lanarkshire. And with two wins and a draw from their opening three games, Deveney says Airdrie go into the clash full of confidence. The 19-year-old told the club's website: "Momentum is massive in this league.

Getting a run of games together, points and wins on the board is massive."I've played against Alloa a good few times now. I've beaten them before, I've drawn with them before."We'll be confident of playing anybody especially at home."Saturday's Saturday, and the best team on the day will win the match."Former Falkirk and Clyde loan start Deveney reckons a point was a fair outcome from their clash at Queen of the South on Saturday, when Calum Gallagher's early opener was cancelled out by Gavin Reilly in the second half."A point was a fair result in the end," he said. "We were the better team in the first half, second half they came out and had obviously a wee jag from their manager at half-time."We were happy to get the game out the way, but at the same time we did look to go and win it."Having been on loan while at Rugby Park, Deveney is pleased to be getting game[time in League One.He said: "Personally it's good to be playing and getting as many minutes as possible on the pitch."The most important thing is the team, and we're off to a good start and unbeaten still in the league."The experience has been brilliant.
