Airdrie's Partick point could prove to be a good one, says Telfer as he hails unbeaten streak

Airdrie midfielder Charlie Telfer believes they will look back on their point against Partick as a good one, despite being pegged back quickly in their Championship draw on Saturday.The Diamonds saw Craig Watson's 37th minute opener quickly cancelled out by Tomi Adeloye's leveller just five minutes later.The draw made it six games unbeaten in all competitions for Airdrie as they slipped out of the promotion play-off spots to ffith.But Telfer - who was man of the match - feels his side will look back on it as a good point against the third-place side, who are an impressive unbeaten streak themselves, having gone five games without defeat.Telfer said: "We scored and then conceded so soon after, so that is the disappointing thing for us because I think if we get in at half-time and regroup, we could have tried to go again and maybe hold out, but it is what it is."If we look back on the goal, we can probably defend it a wee bit better."The second half became a bit of a basketball game in the second half, all the back and forth, but all in all it is a good point against a good team."We were conscious of that on the pitch with 10 minutes to go and the message was if we aren't going to win it, let's not lose this game because we have got ourselves on a good run in this league."We just want to keep the point tally ticking over."If you look at our league form, we've lost too many games that we should have drawn or we've not seen some games, so I think we will look back on it as a really good point."Meanwhile, player-boss Rhys McCabe was remaining coy on the possibility of the Diamonds strengthening their ranks in the transfer window.Last week, assistant boss and defender Callum Fordyce revelaed he felt "one or two" fresh faces
