Property prices are at an all time high, and with the average house price in Greater Manchester now £242,386, it is becoming more and more difficult for first-time buyers across the region.
According to Halifax, the average age of a first-time homebuyer in the UK has now risen to 32, as people are having to wait a lot longer and save up a much bigger deposit to get onto the property ladder.
In Greater Manchester's cheapest boroughs of Bolton, Oldham and Wigan, first-time buyers are much more likely to find an affordable home due to homes being priced much lower than elsewhere in the region.
