Joseph Michael Kramer (born June 21, 1950) is the American drummer for the hard rock band Aerosmith. Kramer was born and raised into a Jewish family. He has become a born again Christian.
Kramer was born in the Bronx, New York City, the son of Doris and Mickey Kramer, a businessman. His memoir, Hit Hard: A Story of Hitting Rock Bottom at the Top, was released on June 30, 2009. Kramer is credited with originating the name Aerosmith.
Linda Kramer, the wife of Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer, has sadly died at the age of 55.
A rep for the musician confirmed to People that Linda passed away on June 22, though a cause of death has not been released as of this time. Joey didn’t join Aerosmith during the band’s relaunch of their Las Vegas residency earlier this year.
The band said at the time, “He has regrettably made the decision to sit out the band’s concerts in 2022 so he can focus his full attention on his family during these uncertain times.
He and the band look forward to his future performances with Aerosmith.” Click inside for more details… Linda‘s obituary in the Boston Herald stated that she “loved to laugh and had a wicked, mischievous sense of humor,” “loved fine food and had a passion for driving fast cars,” and “cherished the Christmas holiday season and was a ravenous consumer of Hallmark Christmas films.” Linda is survived by her husband and three sisters.
