AERO recall chocolate treat as customers urgently warned 'do not drink'

Shoppers have been warned to avoid certain AERO hot chocolate products which they may have bought recently, as they could contain traces of silica beads.

The Food Standards Agency has issued a warning saying that Nestlé UK has recalled several AERO hot chocolate treats, urging people not to drink them.

These include the AERO Hot Choc Jars, AERO 'Hot Choc' sachets and AERO Go Instant 'Hot Choc' - all of which are unsafe due to the possibility of food-grade silica beads being found in them.The affected products are: AERO Hot Choc jars, pack size 288, all batch codes and all date codes; AERO 'Hot Choc' sachets, pack size 24g, all batch codes and all date codes and AERO Go Insatant 'Hot Choc', pack size 28g with all batch and date codes.In the recall notice, Nestlé said: "Nestlé UK is recalling the above products from customers.

Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tells them what to do if they have bought the products."If customers have purchased any of these, Nestlé UK has issued the following advice: "If you have bought any of the above products do not eat them.
