The 34-year-old actress won the award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical at the 2020 Tony Awards on Sunday (September 26) at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City. Adrienne, who is wearing a Miu Miu dress and Cartier jewelry, picked up the award for her work as Tina Turner in Tina – The Tina Turner Musical.
Everyone knew she was going to win the award as soon as the show opened in 2019 and she has finally received the honor. Also nominated in the category were Moulin Rouge‘s Karen Olivo and Jagged Little Pill‘s Elizabeth Stanley.
