puppy named after a World War II hero will become a PTSD support dog, helping to cope with the expected post pandemic surge of traumatised men and women.Mr Chips, a three-month-old Labrador, is the newest recruit at Bravehound, an organsation providing dogs to help the recovery of people traumatised by their experiences during military service.The pup was named after US army dog Chips, the most decorated canine of World War II, who won glory by single-handedly attacking a hidden German machine gun nest.Trainer Sarah Heenan, 24, from Perth, is putting Mr Chips through his paces.Sarah said: “Mr Chips is a great wee character full of life and enthusiasm – he also has a big appetite.
