A young St Johnstone fan was in tears as she said goodbye to her soon-to-be-departing goalie Zander Clark at McDiarmid Park on Monday night.

Caci Beckett, 9, built up a special bond with the Perth Saints goalie when she was just three years old and has been his number one fan ever since.

At the Scottish Premierships play-off final on Monday night, it was sheer relief as Callum Davidson's side beat Inverness Caledonian Thistle 6-2 on aggregate to preserve their cinch Premiership status.

However, for Caci it was sheer heartache knowing it was most certainly the last time she would see Clark, who is now out of contract with the club. The touching moment between the two has gone viral on social media.Mum Jenna told the Record: "A picture says a thousand words and you see it all there."It's been an emotional couple of weeks in our house, she doesn't want to talk about the football and it's all still so raw for her."Zander is Caci's hero and she just couldn't hold back the tears last night."She was the first in the queue to get into McDiarmid Park so she could shout for him in training."They gave each other a hug and he came back later with his jumper for her as a memento."We're Tartan Army supporters so we still might see him at Scotland games, but no doubt she will get a jersey with his name on when he joins his new team - although her dad might have something to say about that."Over the years Caci has always been on the sidelines shouting on Clark, has a huge photo collection with him and a framed pair of his gloves. The youngster took a shine to the goalkeeper after a rivalry with her older sister who would cheer on the club's former number one Alan Mannus. She first met Clark when she was three and has been devoted to him
