During a happy hour with fans last week in celebration of the just-released music video for “,” fielded questions from the crowd, including one video submission from a Londoner named Annie, who asked a question about her songwriting journey.However, it was Annie's accent that caught Adele's attention."Is she from Enfield?" she exclaimed. "She said my name perfectly!" The singer, also a London native, then broke down the subtle difference between right and wrong pronunciation, which really seems to come down to the British accent.

It's not “uh-dell," as I've been saying for years, but “huh-dale," which sounds very wrong from my American mouth until I put a bit of a sing-songy London twang on it.
