Adele has broken another chart record with 30, becoming the first album in over a year to sell a million copies in America. According to US chart data gathered by Billboard, 30 has now reached over one million traditional sales (that would be across digital downloads, CDs, vinyl and cassettes).
It's first-week sales amounted to 692,000 from November 19-25, while last week (December 2) its sales were 225,000. 30 becomes the first album to reach this sales milestone in over a year, and the first album of 2021 to do so.
