Adele Roberts has admitted that she struggled to get out of bed after hearing the news of BBC presenter George Alagiah's death.
George died aged 67 after a long battle with bowel cancer, a disease from which former BBC Radio 1 presenter Adele has also suffered – she got the all-clear last year.
After the news of his death, Adele, 44, took to Twitter to share a tribute to him, as she also posted a statement from the BBC expressing their sadness about his passing.
In her own tribute, Adele said: "So sad to hear about this.Thinking of George’s family, friends and colleagues. "Reading about George and his journey with bowel cancer helped me & Kate so much.
