Adele Roberts reveals she was having chemotherapy during Celebrity Bake Off

Adele Roberts has revealed that she was undergoing chemotherapy during her appearance on the Great British Celebrity Bake Off.The radio star, 44, who announced she was cancer-free in June last year, revealed in October 2021 that she had been diagnosed with stage two bowel cancer, and later had surgery to remove a tumour and began using a stoma bag.

Adele was taking part in a special celebrity edition of the hit baking show, which is pre-recorded and it aired on Sunday, to raise vital funds for the Stand Up To Cancer campaign.Taking to Twitter after the show aired, Adele revealed that she was undergoing chemotherapy while on the show and had an ice machine to keep her cool.

Responding to a fan, she wrote: "Thank you so much Ryan! I was actually on chemo in the tent. I was overheating most of the time.

I had an ice machine to keep me cool. "I also can’t remember most of this. I know I had an amazing day… but watching it back now is so special #GBBO." Adele also bravely spoke about her cancer battle on the show, saying: "I have absolutely loved the past couple of days. "I am so thrilled to be here.
